One Project, One Product, and One Event
Supernova at the Lions Richlands
It’s been a year in the making, concluding in a week-long on-site installation, which included assembling and hoisting the mega lights into position. The result is a stunning custom twin Supernova that transformed the foyer of the Lion Richlands into a luxurious and sophisticated welcoming space.
The installation of two 2.5m diameter SUPERNOVA lights at the Lion Richlands was a significant milestone for ILANEL and a testament to the company's commitment to making visions come to light.
Comet
Our linear pendant, Comet, is a single trail of light that shoots across space and is often seen with a glowing nucleus. It features a slotted tube that casts dimmable light and is adorned with unique choices of hand-blown glass beads. The Comet comes with matching metal ends or with the option of feature timber ends.
Customisable in various metal finishes, timber and stains, and lengths upon enquiry.
Also available as ‘Comet Satrdust’ and ‘Falling Comet’
Melbourne Design Week
The inaugural 2013 exhibition was an unprecedented survey of some of the most exciting local contemporary practitioners. Ten years on, Melbourne Now 2023 highlights the latest art, architecture, design, and cultural practice shaping Melbourne.
Bold in scale, Melbourne Now will be displayed throughout all levels of The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia, including permanent collection galleries showcasing new works and commissions by emerging, mid-career and senior practitioners as well as local collectives.
We’ve had the pleasure and honour of collaborating with Jenna Lee, bringing her vision to light. It all started with: "Essentially, I need an Australian lighting supplier to help create the custom lighting fixtures" and "Yes, your vision is achievable".
Balarr (To become light) is a cross-cultural collaboration that sees traditional Gulumerridjin dilly bags of @jenna.mlee, and @kojima_shouten Kyoto-style paper lanterns coalesce in a series of illuminated lanterns brought to light by Melbourne lighting designers @ilanel
Installation viewing of Balarr (To become light) 2023 is on display as part of the Melbourne Now exhibition at The Ian Potter Centre @ngvmelbourne,
from 24 March – 20 August 2023.
Open daily, 10am–5pm
